API endpoint to receive customer data will return the response on a webhook URL



The score and the full response will be sent to the URL you provided during your account configuration. The API response is only a status message.

The Fido API uses API keys to authenticate requests. You can view and manage your API keys in the Fido Dashboard.

Authentication to the API is performed via HTTP Header. Provide your API key as x-api-key in all requests.



Your API keys carry many privileges, so be sure to keep them secure! Do not share your secret API keys in publicly accessible areas such as GitHub, client-side code, and so forth.

All API requests must be made over HTTPS. Calls made over plain HTTP will fail. API requests without authentication will also fail.


Q: What happens if I pass the same customer_id on multiple requests?
A: The customer_id is needed for the identity resolution. All the requests with the same customer id will be merged into the same user document, potentially updating the score. In case of a score update, you will get notified via the webhook endpoint.

Q: How long does it take to get notified via the webhook endpoint?
A: The notification will be sent within 5 minutes of the API call.

Q: What is the procedure to update or set the webhook URL?
A: The configuration is not yet available in the dashboard, reach out to your account manager to update the URL, the procedure usually takes less than 1 business day.

Q: Why did I get a 401 "Unauthorized" response?
A: This may happen if you correctly populated the pay key field but the key is either incorrect or not enabled.
